Wait...What?!
I thought you were joking when I saw that. I figured it must be some sort of novelty or poorly conceived counterfeit, so I did some research and I'll be darned: Walkers had obverse mint marks in 1916 and 1917! You learn something new everyday, thanks for sharing!

Gorgeous! One of the coins I inherited from my grandpa was a 1916s. and he found it in circulation.

Beautiful walker muddler Quote: Let's see a pic of the trifecta! The whole family together. Yes, a family picture of the sweet 16's would be nice.

We recently inherited 6 1916s with all three versions, but not in near that condition and they were removed from circulation in about 1936. That one is beautiful.

muddler: just in general but especially if you ever sell that 16-S. That is very beautiful high grade coin but if you sell make sure kick up the price. For ANY Walker that 16-S she sure does have very sharp skirt lines and she's a pre-21 of which those dates your are not supposed to grade by skirt lines cause the mint didn't figure out how to properly strike the coins on a consistent basis until 1921. If I take your 16-P, 16-D, 16-S and technical grades notwithstanding and look at them by skirt lines the 16-P is typical for a pre-21, 16-D is a little better and should get some premium if somebody needs the coin "now" but the 16-S that one is hello payola. It is absolutely exceptional.
