Colhand1 Pillar of the Community United States 629 Posts	Posted 08/29/2013 3:14 pm I would call that a Cud - a chip out of the die that is filled in with metal with no distinctive markings. Another possibility is that it could be a metal separation like a lamination piece - I have seen that on Buffalos. It's a curious coin but I wouldn't pay extra for it. Report this Post to the Staff

This pic was on my laptop and labeled BU from several years ago .... I'm actually excited about this coin because there is an error on some 1935 rev, from what I have read... Thanks again!
