Has anyone swapped with Provident, APMEX or similar company? I'm curious if that can actually work. I have almost 500 40% silver Kennedys, and would like to swap them for some gold and some 90% silver.

For me, I don't care if prices go up or go down during the swap. I just want the price to lock on both the sale and the purchase on the same day. I'm not interested in speculating... I know (pretty closely) what my coins will convert into if both sides of the transaction take place on the same day.

Has anyone done this?

They will buy your 40% at wholesale and sell you your swap at retail.

Yes, I understand that. They'll be making money on me both ways. I've resigned myself to that. It's better than ebay, and I don't have the posts to list for sale here.

But, can I lock the prices for both transactions on the same day? It could be the day of the pohone call, or the day my coins arrive, or whatever.

The RELATIVE values will be fairly stable, regardless of the price of PM. I don't want to widen the margin by getting a price on my sale, then a few days later get a price on my purchase when PM prices have gone up.
