I'll let you know what grade the dealer sold it as and how much I paid ( ebay auction).

Ouch, seller graded it higher and I paid a lot more. No mention of cleaning or details grade in the listing.

The brushing is blatantly obvious in these images; if they are from the seller and that person didn't identify the coin as cleaned, it should go back posthaste.

Dave, you really can not tell holding the coin. It looks a bit shined up but not unpleasant.. The hairline scrapes/brushing really stands out with the stronger magnification of the photo. Unfortunately it was only after taking the photo that I figured this out.

The seller sold it as XF. Is more detail in the hair needed to get to XF? I have a hard time distinguishing between VF and XF on the liberty coins.

Their photo showed a lot less surface detail, regarding cleaning, I remember it being kind of a sketchy photo at the time.
