Here I was, thinking I could win with a last second bid. when out of nowhere the price just jumps. http://www.ebay.com/itm/18119784068...refresh=trueI'm 90% sure the buyer is not going to pay, but you never know. I had a small laugh when it happened, thought it'd be worth sharing

I think that is a perfectly reasonable price for that coin set. j/k I have seen prices on another auction site go crazy too, like as ASE for over $100 plus shipping. It may be bidder's frenzy or maybe they actually wanted that set.

Anyone looking for the 2012 pure silver proof set can send me an email before I list it on ebay to save me some fees. Listing later tonight. Open to reasonable offers.

I was thinking after $18 shipping and exchange rate I'd be willing to pay 185-190cnd. But when I saw the jump my dreams were crushed.

The last two bidders have 3 & 11 feedbacks. They are either new/very new to eBay/coin collecting (buying as gifts or some other motivation) OR just shill-bidders. Your pick.
I have to agree, the set will probably get a relist.

besides shill-bidding, could be 2 newer bidders that wanted to make sure they land the set by putting in an extremely high bid. They probably thought that they would only land one increment over a reasonable max bid.

You can never have too much money.

According to the RFD, one of the collectors bought it. But why did he (paid?) bid with such a big price?
Edited: I was wrong. Incorrectly read page 2078 of the RFD.

Quote: According to the RFD, one of the collectors bought it. Silveroid, I didn't see anything about this on RFD. Please clarify what you mean. Thanks!
