In 1978 I put together Birth Year Sets for my wife and myself. From my set in a capitol holder the last 35 years 1953S-1MM-005 . My coin is MDS, but slightly later than pictured in CC.

Strong repunching shows inside the upper loop and on the upper serif. The mintmark is very close to the 5 of the date.

A heavy die dot shows in the field to the right of the nose.

Die gouges show at the rim above GOD.

A die scratch points southward from the R of LIBERTY.

A straight die gouge inside the left wheat lines parallels the lines.

A small die gouge/break shows in the upper right wheat lines.

A die crack runs N-S through the bottom of the T of CENT.

Looks like a later die state than the one listed on coppercoins is. Still a GREAT find.
