Dr. Who's Tardis had a malfunction last Friday and he landed in my backyard. After the repair and a beer with me, he took me for a ride to the year of 1975......

Seriously, an old lady brought $35 of pennies in rolls to my favorite teller last week. The lady claimed that those rolls were rolled up way back by her late husband. She found them while cleaning out the basement. When I showed up the branch on Saturday my favorite teller informed me about the pennies and asked me if I was interested. She was not sure about what I collected and already gave away $12.5. So I ended up with $22.5-45 rolls.
Out of the 45 rolls, 2 rolls were recent rolls with current coins. The rest rolls were from 1975. Here is a list of goodies:
1917,
1918,
1919x3,
1919d,

1936x6 (no

1937,
1937d,
1938,
1939x5,

1972
DDO #3(AU).
Canadian:
1941, 1943, 1947, 1953(SF),1957.
There was only one 1975 coin in this bunch. Most coins from 1974 were still in red color. I was in high hope to find a 1972
DDO #1 in AU condition but ended up with a 1972
DDO #3.
Honestly I was a little bit hoping to find a 1955-DDO.
Only one hole filler which is the 1953 Canadian with shoulder folder for my Canadian Whitman #2469.
The average of wheat per roll in the 70's is
8.86, which is amazing by today's standard.
After all it was quite a treat for my labor day. More candies for my favorite teller soon.
Happy Hunting everyone!
