The box looks cool, they could of tint the cologne a red / blue to match Superman's colors or a nice gold. Probably smells hideous as most cheap colognes do. People will probably buy it for the box design. I just sold
A vintage superman for $81 and $10 shipping last night, 10 mins after posting.

LOL arianzo I think NuMoosematist might have some interest in this one. We won't know how it smells until someone takes it for the team.

Slightly off-topic - I really like those rotating display cabinets the PO has for coins. I wouldn't mind one of them.

Do you have a picture of one? I need to build something so was looking for some ideas.

Sorry, Northerncoins, I don't. I thought all Post Offices had them - they're right in the middle where customers line up to be served at the counter and people can browse the coins while waiting so when they get to the counter they can say "I'd like a booklet of 10 stamps for Canada and one of those nice Superman coins."

It kind of looks like this, only larger I'd say. And it revolves.

Nice display of coins, I'd like something like this too. Coins are nicely displayed. I'd change the wood to a dark cherry finish, just my preference lol. I too need something to display my treasures in.

Thanks lyradnoj , yes I like that one, nice and clean and simple with open viewing areas, I need to look at a few more before I figure how I will go but was thinking of making the structure out of maple with a med to light stain as maple is clean smooth looking where oak is busy which could distract my viewing pleasure.

Vintage Superman rocks lol...too bad its so small...1/4 oz , been better if it was 1/2 oz or even a full 1 oz but it is what it is.

I still say they messed up on the mintage's.

Should have been Hologram at 5000 , Shield at 7500 , Man of steal at 10000 then 1/2 oz modern at 12500 then vintage at 15000 where it is. Then whatever the then and now is 20 k? The gold is good at 2000.

Just seems silly making 3 1 oz coins of the same mintage and the same weight of Superman , then again its all about the money...

I did not like it because the image from the mint website. After seeing the real coin in a postal outlet, I ordered it right away before it went back "awaiting stock" again. It pair up good with the Hologram.

@northerncoins - That mintage would have definitely changed the whole release and the way things played out. But your right it's about the money at the end of the day.

I believe our friend NuMoosematist has been singing praises for the vintage coin from the start.

The picture above looks like those glass cases sold at Ikea.
