On another thread I was saying I ordered the Spiderman coin from APMEX & got a ship notice about 15 hours later. Why such a problem with RCM?

Quote: The Vintage Superman is THE sleeper coin of the series, mark my word. Mintage is too high and it has to compete with all the other superman coins out there , while I like the coin I dont think its going to be anymore valuable then the 1/2 oz silver , maybe short term while its hot-ish but the 15k mintage will hurt it.

Quote: The Vintage Superman is THE sleeper coin of the series, mark my word. IMO, not at all, but it will interesting to check in the future. This coin is less attractive than other in the several perspective: Design - not bad as stand alone, but too "vintage" compares to other coins. Cost per silver amount - for many buyers it is the factor. But in case, if other coins in the series will go high, they will take with them also "The Vintage Superman"

Great photos, I finally get to see a vintage! I'm starting to like it. It has a lot of history behind it, being the back cover of action comics and drawn by Joe Shuster.

I think the vintage is doing well right now because people have decided to cave and finish their collection. But don't get my wrong the coin doesn't look half bad. pocket change 50 is right there is a lot of history behind it. I think that display box is probably one of a my favorites.

Well some collectors prefer non colored coins, so the vintage does have that going for it...

People seems to forget the price factor. If you want a cheap silver superman coin to give as a gift, this would be it. That being said, I didn't like the coin
