Cassidy77, I have to agree with you that the Superman coins are doing very well compared to other Mint coins. Just about every coin besides the Superman coins are selling for list or below. The Candy Cane and the Piedfort Coins are doing terrible in terms of resale value. The Superman coins are really the Hit of the Year.
As for the Gold Superman coin, what other coin are selling for 2 1/2 x the issue price? None!
Like you said, while the value of it slipped a little, you can't really complain when the coin you bought for $750 is selling for $2000.

Thanks MP..as far as the Gold goes I still think that when the finite number of primary golds are sold in the 2K range then the numbers are going to keep climbing..with a small 2K mintage its bound to happen with this kind of interest in the coin. The question will continue to be.... how much do I really want to keep the gold superman in my collection? kind of thing.....youll be able to tell your kids ..I used to have the gold superman! but now I've got this Jag instead.....lol..on another note or should I say coin..ive been eyeing the gold Dr Who coin which has 250 mintage and is up for 2550 USD.....good bet I think..at least its a 1 OZ pure gold coin

According to the law of supply and demand, if sellers see that gold Superman's have dropped below a selling price of $2,000 then they will not offer them for sale, and as the supply of coins offered decreases then their price should once more increase.

You are mis-applying the supply/demand curve logic. If the realized prices drop, it is because A) demand has decreased B) supply has increased or C) both

What (potential) sellers of the coin choose to do facing the change in supply/demand is something else entirely. They may choose to hold onto them, or they may choose to sell before prices drop more. Supply/Demand curves do not predict this part of the largely psychological equation.

One coin sold below $1989 a few days ago. Does anyone know how to read the exact best offer amount in completed listings on ebay? Thanks...

One of the lowest price we've seen for a single gold Superman coin:

US$ 1825 or Cdn$ 1900.

One thing I can safely say about the superman coins, is its a lot of fun watching the prices and reading the posts. So it has provided some entertainment with trying to guess what prices will do on 7 different coins. I know I will remember this release for a few years. This has been a nice bonus no matter what prices do in the future.

I've just sold my last in hand Superman coin through Kijiji as well as the other coins. Very happy not having to pay ebay and Paypal fees and not getting worried with shipping and handling in any Superman coin.
