Canada 5 cents

This design was used from 1943 - 1945 and was the only design
(worldwide) used during the war years that related to the war.

The V was used because of Churchills famous V for victory sign and also to denote the denomination.

Instead of using denticles around the edge, a Morse Code message which reads .

"we win when we work willingly" was used. Right in the middle you have the torch of freedom

In 2005 they used elements of the same design for the 60th anniv. of the end of the war commemorative 5 cents.

The Morse code was not used on this one.

A lot of people collect Nazi coins. I don't think it'd be a problem to post them. But I'd ask MOM or Dad if you are concerned.

I love collecting them just for the history aspect.

I don't see any reason not to post them. As long as you keep it historical, and don't make it political, I think you are in the clear. I, for one, don't like it at all when people try to suppress anything related to Nazi Germany, for fear of offending someone. I think that would be doing a disservice to all the people who died during the holocaust, as well as those who survived, not to mention all those who died on the battlefields. This is about education, not glorification.

I agree with Topher. There were many Germans who also died that day.
