1963-D Washington Quarter Type B And Grade ?

mdpmedia Pillar of the Community United States 3546 Posts	Posted 09/04/2013 4:07 pm The following closeups are in line with a Type B except that ALL of the left arrows are NOT under the leaf. I was wondering if at least one (1) arrow had to be under the leaf to still be considered as a Type B coin; please clarify this point. mdpmedia Report this Post to the Staff

coop Bedrock of the Community United States 62064 Posts	Posted 09/04/2013 5:05 pm That is a type "A" common one. The type "B"s are only on the Philly Quarters. There is a type "C"on the Denver mint coins, but only on /u]the 1964-D quarters. That is the reverses of the 1965 on the 1964-D quarters There is a Type "M" quarter also. No Denver mint type B silver quarters have been found yet and I doubt that there ever will be. The type B like 1969 D - 1972 D quarters are now called type H by the CherryPickers' Guide. This is because they have a minor modification to them. The tailfeathers now have a centerline like other clad quarters of the period. All the type B pick up points still work. The same CherryPickers' Guide now calls the old type M, type G. Report this Post to the Staff
