I have read that coins from the Fukien provence have been extensively faked. Where can I find out more about this coin? Asking questions here is not a bad idea although you should get a specialized catalog if you are really into Chinese coins. It's an area full of landmines. It's a coin that's struck in between 1925 and 1927 if I am not mistaken. While it's not scarce and I don't think it's a counterfeit, you realize that this seller does not specialize in selling Chinese coins and he has sold counterfeits. Use this to your judgement. For my purposes, I am working on a type set and this coin fits that set...I am certainly not big into chinese coins, and its authentecity isn't really that important....but I certaily don't want a fake in there!
