Went-Off-The-Typeset-Deep-End-With-This-One:-1859-IHC

Good news: I Got this nice coin at a fair price from my LCS. It also qualifies as my 1800's representative for my late uncle and gives me every composition of US coinage.

Bad news: For the moment, I spent the last of my numismatic budget on it. I wasn't even in the market for it in the first place! Instead, I was kinda wanting a Flying Eagle cent after and having a few coins from my delayed inheritance appraised, and one almost looked good enough to buy. Oy, what is wrong with me?

Nice going.
1859 is a 1-year only type.
Then they kept the alloy (CuNi) but changed the reverse design in 1860 which held part way through 1864.
Then later in 1864 the alloy was changed to bronze which with a few exceptions is what it remained as into 1982.

FYI, this is the 1st year of the IHC, and it looks nice for the year.
