The scratches and bent metal are just damage. Trying to bend it back would more than likely damage it more, especially because it's plated. I believe the ring around the strike on the reverse is some type of strike effect (maybe it is a type of collar scar). I could be wrong, but I've seen it on many undamaged off center coins.
