Came across an album today... all holes filled.. conditions of most coins were F - VF with perhaps one or two in EF....
Anyone have a ball park figure for me ... as I think I'd like to buy it at my local auction tonight...
Usually I'd go to coins&canada... but I'm juggling making dinner and my lil guy.. so my hands are full until my wife can come home and I can go out..
Any help would be appreciated

A big factor will likely be the condition of the 1858 cent. I'm not sure of the total value but I believe the 1858 is by far the priciest coin in the series

Large cents? You are probably talking about the Braided Hair Large Cents (1839-1857) or the Flying Eagle cents (1856-1858). Expect to shell out several hundred for the former.

This is the Canadian forum. Canada issued large cents from 1858 to 1920. All dates but the 1858 are fairly affordable, and many varieties exist.

$200-250 and then about another $100 for the 1858 so $300-350 ballpark.

Thank you all for your input... all I have to say is that today has been a gong show of ultimate proportions!
Viewing for this local auction is always at 2 p.m. until 7 p.m. the day of.... I finished work... drove into through the city on my way home... to check out the items listed... saw the Whitman that was filled and thought to myself "ohh you're not working on large cents right now but it would be nice to get pick up a few geeze this would be nice all the holes here are filled already... better check out prices..."
Looked at a few other items they had listed to see if there was any other coins or items that were interesting... then ran home to pick up my lil guy from daycare.... get to the store to pick up groceries... (find out my parents just game back into town from a 2 week vacation so I said I would make them dinner instead of them getting home and doing all the shopping etc..) get home... cook a meal that would feed a small army.. manage to keep my 19 mo old occupied and engaged the whole time (not easy) ... serve dinner ... put the remaining groceries away only to realize I didn't get a recipt for the groceries... (why you ask) BECAUSE I DIDN'T EVEN PAY FOR THE GROCERIES.! GAH! Run back to the grocery store... explain to a very perplexed manager that I need to pay for some produce that's already at home..
Go off to the auction.. most of the coins have already gone... some ridiculous prices! Binder of common date circulated nickles from 1970 to present went for $60... given you probably get all those coins and in similar condition going through a box of nickles... it's just crazy!
I then take another peek at the whitman... yup it's full alright... but... wait for it.... all large cents are 1916 - 1919.... I laugh.. leave.. drive home and kiss my son good night....
I'm a fool.. you all now need to know that... and if I ever give anyone advice... please remember this story to ascertain credibility!
