I recently purchased a one ounce gold coin ( 32.69mm ) which is a very tight fit in it's mint capsule. When I buy a coin I always check weight and measurements, after that they are rarely ever removed from the capsule.
Any ideas of the best way to remove the coin without causing damage?
I have purchased 32.69 coins without capsules, for example one ounce Britannias and used a 33mm capsule which is a perfect fit, but the capsule on this coin obviously is slightly smaller.

I store a few high valued coin in ex Royal Mint screw capsules. Fortunately, they come in a number of sizes.
If I need one, I go to a coin dealer who has perhaps 200 or more of them. The capsules came from broken up proof sets. It is fairly easy to pick one of the exact size, for any new coin that would be added to my collection.

I managed to remove the coin without damage, it took a while but in the process half of the capsule broke !!
So now I need a 33 and 34mm capsule without a rim top or bottom which will match the other coins in the set and fit into the case ok. Anyone know where to buy such capsules?
I have lighthouse which have a rim top and bottom and RM which have a rim at the top.

To track down the exact capsule, some detective work will be required.

You will need to find who minted the coin, and ask them who supplied the capsules for same. Ask if they can supply a replacement capsule. If not, ask them who manufactured the capsules, then ask the manufacturer of the capsules if they can supply a replacement.

Damaged packaging of NCLT products can affect their market value and saleability. The detective work would well be worth your effort.
