I have had 10 Roosevelt dimes from 2001. I had bought a roll of dimes and was picking the "best" ones out for books.
I came across 10 of them in the roll that ALL had the SAME defect from a die chip(s). I do not yet have any pictures. I need to find someone local to scan them. I was wondering if they may be worth more than the average error due to the fact that ALL 10 have the SAME (defect), obviously being struck by the SAME die. The defect being a raised area in the chin resembling a skin mole, and the other raised surface near the nostril resembling .... an unwiped nose. if you will. ALL of the dimes came out od a bank roll and as far as I know, never have been in circulation. Is this common? just asking. Pics to follow ASAP.

Finding multiple examples in a single roll is not uncommon. This does not affect the value of an individual coin.

You have what is known as an "original bank roll"(OBW), all of the coins are fresh from the Mint(via an armored carrier that actually did the wrapping). It is not too hard to find repeatable occurrences in an OBW, usually a just a common die chip or clash marks. Older OBWs are sought after for that very reason because you can sometimes find multiple repunched mintmarks or doubled dies, most common in Lincoln cents from post-WWII until the 1990s.

Your group is interesting as an educational set but that is basically the extent of the value because die chips are quite common and considered to be an acceptable part of the minting process. A larger die break, such as a cud, would be quite collectable and have a premium that increases with the size of the Cud.
