When the FG is not visible they call it a variety, but it is just an over polished die. A true variety would have been missing that device from the first strike, which is not the case. I guess it's a buyer's market. Whatever you wanna give for one. This ad was in a coin publication a while back. Nice prices if you can get them. The dies started off as normal and due to over polishing they were altered. So to me that doesn't constitute a variety. But to each his own. Report this Post to the Staff
