I knew a guy would who worked for Wal-mart cleaning the Parking-lot. He found all kinds of stuff. So one day he found a silver dime. It was 1950's I believe. I never got the chance to buy it off him. (Haven't seen him for awhile)

About half an hour ago I was walking home from a village firework show - and I saw a coin gleaming on the road surface. I picked it up - and was amazed to find this!

Of coarse its a hard habit to break, you never ever know what is going to be on the ground. Even if your not a coin collector it should be a cool experience.

Guilty here too. find a lot coins along the road, some get in really bad shape after they are dragged under the snowplow when you find them in the spring. Some of them are bent, then I have to put them in the vise, file down the edges to make them round and then sometimes put them in the rock tumbler or shaker to get the dirt of zinc corrosion off. The salt really eats up the zinc pennies really fast during the winter. Some of the zincs have no hope.

Interesting city.... Dumas, Texas !

Speaking of parking lots they really are fertile hunting ground for dropped coins ,I love them

Heads up or heads down, it's coming home with me! My girlfriend thinks I'm funny for it but I don't care. We went on vacation to Myrtle beach (just got back last week) last thing I did before leaving was check under the seat cushions for change.

"Ain't no use in looking down....ain't no discharge on the ground." No, the discharge is on the wall and the money is on the ground. I'm not too proud to pick up a penny.

Went off for a paddle in my kayak this afternoon - in the parking lot I found a very tarnished 1978 2p!
