Does the back of the nickel have a P or not? In 2001 the mint used two different compositions.

Doubling doesn't add weight, its a die issue.
Do we have a concrete issue weight yet?

The issue weight for the 2012 loonie multi-ply brass plated steel is 6.27g
The issue weight for the 2012 loonie 91.5% nickel 8.5% bronze plating is 7.00g
As for the doubling its hard to see.

Joseph7420 your right, there are 2 different weights for 2001 nickel and 2 different compositions.
2001-p 3.95g
2001 no-p 4.60g
I just found that out a few minutes ago, I was wondering what was going on there.
Maybe Coins and Canada will put that info up soon.
Thanks for pointing that out
