I hope these pictures are good enough in order for you to form an opinion. I found this penny while roll hunting. 1964 Thanks for looking!

I can't quite tell from the pics if that is a business strike or a proof. If it is a proof 65. I could be better, but the pic just isn't clear enough.
If MS I'm at MS 66 for the same reasons. Yeah I know they should both be the same, but they grade proofs harder than ms coins.
Though...technically since you found it in a circulation roll it is prob. an AU59...lol...but I'm ok with ignoring that.

Yeah, I realize that I need to get a better camera so I can post up much better images. Maybe Santa will bring me something like that this Christmas! I'm really disappointed with the picture of the reverse. Every step is clearly visible. That penny is not a proof. There's a little glare coming from the 2 x 2 that gives it that semi-cameo appearance. What I can tell you is with the naked eye I cannot see a single flaw in this coin.

I'm far from experienced enough to offer a dependable opinion, but I have to ask: Why, based on the photo, is this not a 67 or 68? It looks nearly flawless, like Afterimage wrote. I look at a lot of photos on Teletrade of 1960's cents and the photos of many certified MS67's look a lot like this one, even taking strike into account.

Ding dang that thing is sweet! I would love to see some pics in better lighting though to see the luster on that bad boy! I'm in at 66 minimum. Can you take it out of the 2x2 at least?

Quote: Can you take it out of the 2x2 at least? Ask and ye shall receive. I broke it out of the 2 x 2 and took a shot of the obverse. Not a close up, but this distance gave my smart phone a good chance at a sharp focus.

Now, move your camera directly over the penny and you'll have yourself a GREAT photo!

Quote: Now, move your camera directly over the penny and you'll have yourself a GREAT photo! Believe me, I tried! Every time I moved the camera directly over the coin, I could see a blurred mirror image of the camera on the coin's surface! I need to work on lighting to clear up that problem.

I know how you feel. I take all my photos with a 5mp smart phone holding them in my hand or setting them in my lap. Trying as hard as I can not to get the large shop light glaring in the photo... I want to pick up one of the microscopes everyone uses but I always buy coins with that money haha.
