Are These Weak Strikes? - Coin Community Forum

macsrus New Member United States 10 Posts	Posted 09/14/2013 1:56 pm The first image is a 2006P with what looks like a weak strike and missing clad on both sides. The second image is an unknown date because the OBV side looks like a weak strike, but you can see some of Jefferson's hair. Report this Post to the Staff

NumisRob Bedrock of the Community United Kingdom 17929 Posts	Posted 09/14/2013 2:52 pm I suspect the red one was dug up, and the finder scraped it with a wire brush or something similar to bring back its silver color so it could be spent. I must confess to having done the same myself when I've found a tarnished 10p with my metal detector!
