I am on the fence on this one. Looks like it could be a lam but the coloring looks odd.

The extra image helped me a lot. Lams usually lay in a straight direction. Yours is that way. Also the lam with peel slightly in areas. You coin does a well. If it were damaged, it would be pressed in without the thinning. It is a lamination.
