Hey Guys,

I recently went to a dealer to test out my rookie grading skills and buy a nice high grade Morgan dollar. I would like to note that I'm a little bit concerned about about the high points (Forehead and ear hair). The coin exhibits a weak strike in those areas and a very slight rub is evident, but the rest of the coin is immaculate and does cartwheels all day long. What do you guys think this coin would grade?

You need to fix your white balance in those images. MS65. A touch too much chatter to make 66.
Rest in Peace

MS65. What you see on the flat spots is likely bag rub.

Thanks for the input so far. I paid $65 for the coin.

I've been working the camera on several different light sources and still can't find the sweet spot. Any recommendations on how to take great photos like many of the other posts on this forum?

I agree MS65, a little to baggy to make 66. As far as the hair goes, the Orleans mint Morgans all have weak hair detail above the ear.
