Anyone receive the superman achromatic... I'm quite dissapointed about the coin... I was wondering if there's other people here who receive it and it they have any comment there welcome. Even with the new technology of achromatic, it's quite ordinary, this coins did not deserve the price of 129.75$. I think I should have puchase the Superman Shield instead...

I got one from CP a couple of days ago. Nice coin, but I couldn't see any real holographic effect.

I agree with poboxw. I find it much better than the skimmer and dream catcher.

I saw this effect for the first time many-many years ago on a small badge made of silicon wafer. Yes, it looks good, but I can't call it a real hologram.

Great pics Poboxw. Thanks for posting.
Really like the effect of the hologram on this coin. Still don't have mine.......I'll be happy to get it.

I saw it in person at Canada Post and its much better than the Dragonfly, Dream Catcher, and the Northern Lights.

So it's only changing colors. Is this purpose of the hologram? Not bad for the "coin technology", but as "Superman coin" - weak, IMO.

I do wish they had put some colour to Superman himself but, that last pic with the "S" shield coloured with the hologram is very nice IMO. I hope mine comes soon.......

Those are SUPER photos of the coin, poboxw! Thank you for posting them.
I received mine on Friday from the mint and am very happy with it.
When you look at the coin from different angles, Superman appears to be flying straight at you with rainbow coloured circles spinning around him. poboxw's photos really do capture this effect, although it looks even better "in person".
I'm not too sure what those who have expressed their dislike for it (like Mlalonde1977 the OP) were expecting from this coin. Anyway, chaqu'un a son gout.
Lastly, shouldn't we be consistent and keep our comments about this coin and the others on the "Superman coins" thread as we have done with the gold one?
Perhaps a moderator would be kind enough to merge this one onto it. Thanks!
