Looks like the price of the
RCM coins are about 20-30% more then the
Perth Mint for the same amount of silver. I did not look for the gold one, but if the
RCM did not make a great percentage growth of profit this year, they had a serious problem...
I know that the reputation of the
RCM coins around the world is great, but for sure, Australia also made great coins, same quality for me... I think as a Canadian I should deserve a decent price from the
RCM for their product, and at this time I think they really put the limit as far as they can with the market demand... I'm seriouly thinking to retire as a collector and boycott the
RCM... I sure I'm not the only one in this position as a collector right now... Even if I miss great coins, the matter is that as a collector I will never resell my coins... For me it's not a question of doing money with my collection in the near future... In the last 5 years, the price for a normal NCLT 1 oz coins was 70$-80$, as this time it's 100$ and 120-130$ for coins with special things like hologram or venitian, crystal, etc... Look like a 30-50% increase for collecting coins...
The
RCM continue trying to increase the price of their coins and it seems they don't have limit of trying getting their price higher and higher...
I know the principle of the ask/bid price, the market, the economics... But it's not like the
RCM will not exist in 100 years, it's not a common business, they're suppose to making profit, no problem with that. But when it looks like a private company who push the price to the limit and the extent of how they can grab more and more money from collectors, I have a problem with this. Hope they will change their thinking in the near future...
