I have every reason to suspect that this coin is genuine! Just looking for an $80,000 sucker. Probably just as well that there is no 'Make an offer' button, so that cheaper suckers are protected from themselves.

Sent him a polite request to re-price it closer to true value.Like maybe 25 cents.

Why is $80K so outrageous? I mean, I see coins that have sold for much more. How rare is this coin? Is it a one-of-a-kind? I think the true value of a coin lies in the heart of the owner or buyer. They're selling 1992 LMC CAMS for $20K+. If some rich person wants that coin, what's $80K? He probably paid lots more for other coins. If this coin is a one-of-a-kind, and it sold for $80K, I wouldn't tell the buyer they're a sucker. I would call them a true collector of what's in their heart, And would probably see them on the cover of Coin World magazine. You can say some thing is worth $1,000,000, but if it sells for $1,500,000, is it still only worth a million? I have art prints that people tell me are worth $1000's, I can't get 25% of their list value. So, in the end, the only value you can place on a coin, is what it can truly be sold for, Not what somebody tells you it's worth. That's also why I have a crazy priced coin on the bay too. Just my opinion.

Quote: How rare is this coin? Filled dies happen every year, many time a year. Quote: Is it a one-of-a-kind? NO! Several if not many coins will be struck before it clears out or gets worse. Quote: They're selling 1992 LMC CAMS for $20K+. Different issue, the 1992 Close AM is rare and limited. In an auction the buyer sets the value. This coin is being offered at a set price, the seller is setting the price way out of line of what it would go for at auction.

I remember him listing this coin for mor than 80k before. I think it was 99 or 100k... but that was over a year ago, so I cant be sure, but it was definitely the same coin. What a waste of time.
