Kennypenny New Member United States 3 Posts	Posted 09/24/2013 5:06 pm Any ideas on how I can get large amounts of new pennies? I have checked with 20 local banks and its totally hit or miss. Anyone in Maryland or northern va search bank boxes and have good place to get them? Report this Post to the Staff

The one thing you could do is try and find out if any banks for credit unions in the area get their coins directly from the feds instead of a 3rd party or another bank. Youd probably have a better chance of getting new coins with those banks. Those are apparently the banks with the ability to order bags of Ike dollars as well, but it doesn't mean theyll do it Report this Post to the Staff

jprine Pillar of the Community United States 1599 Posts	Posted 09/24/2013 10:01 pm I don't guess you really can, but if all of the ends you can see are new and red or you break open the box and both ends of each roll is new, you can pretty much expect them all to be the same. Jayman931 Pillar of the Community United States 2651 Posts	Posted 09/25/2013 11:41 am The probability of all the rolls being 2013 if you have a box of 50 rolls with 2 coins on each end (100 coins total) and all are "new" and or the same year and mm.
