I was thinking of buying a stack of 100's to go through looking for good serial number combos. The problem I am having is finding where to get the bills come the 8th. Does anyone have a line on where a guy could find some on the release date?

How about this idea, try a Bank. Banks usually have money so they may have some of the new 100's, sounds like the place to start. If that doesn't work try a Casino, they always seem to have cash money. Bill Collector

I've called several banks and most had no clue when the new bills would be available. Now the Casino, thats a good idea I hadn't thought of.

So is October 8th still a go for launch?
I talked with a teller Monday, and she said they were suppose to be out sometime next week.

You might try a large bank, since they often get new issues first.

this is what it says on the website, looks like a big bank that goes through lots of $100's might be your best best. "Sonja Danburg: The Federal Reserve Board is going to begin issuing the redesigned $100 note on October 8, 2013, but it may take some time before you see a new design $100 note in circulation. We've built up large inventories of redesigned $100 notes in Federal Reserve Bank vaults across the United States. Beginning on October 8, any financial institution that orders $100s from the Federal Reserve will receive the new design. But the time it takes a note to journey from there to businesses and consumers is influenced by distance, demand, and the policies of individual financial institutions. In the meantime, you can still trust and rely on the security features in the previous $100 note designs, such as the embedded security thread. Remember, it is U.S. government policy that all designs of US currency remain legal tender, regardless of when they were issued."

I called my bank, WF, yesterday to ask when they might have the new $100's and the guy said today. But when I went in to pick up a few, they did not have any or knew when they would. That teller is on my poop list now
