I've posted this one before and had a number think that the coin would get a details grade due to environmental damage.....toning. My initial images showed a pretty dead coin with no visible luster. I've finally taken some new pictures. These represent the coin pretty well. The color is spot on to in hand....luster is better in hand but this will do. What do you guys think?

Don't like the toning pattern. MS65 DET Questionable color.

Looks like a 65.

I agree with FadeToBlack on the colour though. Something just seems off about it.
Rest in Peace

MS65 here also. The toning is a bit unusual for me. It looks as if someone tried to simulate pull-away on the stars and date. I don't know, maybe it's the result of improper storage conditions on a coin that was dipped?

I agree with the others. The coin does look 65ish but the toning seems odd. Some of the toning jumps up on the stars and date with some disregard for elevation and halos almost look like they were applied with a q-tip to try to make it look like pullaway toning.

I think MS63 or maybe 64 details cleaned. I've seen a lot of MS65 and better 1881-S Morgans and this one just doesn't have the look of a MS65 coin to me for the date and M/M.
