I have been looking around for a set of these 50 State Quarters.

I am interested in either proof/ proof silver, MS-63 or BU.

Prices vary widely for these. Anyone have any suggestions of where or who from I might pick up a complete set?

TIA

I would check ebay. Last year I came across a deal that offered all 10 clad State Quarter proof sets for less than $8.00 a set.

I was happy to pick them up and get a complete set in one transaction.

Definitely get them in a complete set, you might see a set or two or three for really cheap, but trying to fill in gaps is time consuming and you end up over paying for some sets ...... then add in separate shipping.

Of course it might not be worth much, but nothing is as special as the complete set, from circulation, that the kids and I collected one at a time over 11 yrs.

If you want to collect them in a rare and valuable form, try collecting them in PCGS state holders.

Littleton Coin has a BU set you can get for the price of each quarter. There are a total of 71 coins. Go to their website, click on "Respond to Littleton Specials" in the middle of the page, and put this code in there: 2up405. As always, your mileage may vary. Here's the page I bookmarked that tracks the Littleton deals: http://www.retailmenot.com/view/lit...om?c=4506213

Working on a silver proof set of Statehood Quarters and the National Park quarters silver proof set. The prices vary so much on E-Bay and my local coin shop.

I got my complete collection of States quarters out of a very large cookie jar, in one attempt. I happened to be visiting the family of my daughter in law, who came from San Diego.

I have made a voluntary contribution to the value of $12.50 to the U.S. Treasury, that being the value of 50 different States quarters!
