I just got several rolls of wheats and tons of coins left to me from a death in the family. I started with searching the wheats for dates, grades and errors. I have several that I want to show later, but this one really caught my eye. Not sure whats going on with the slight doubling on the date. But this does seem to be a blob from the mint. Any comments on this coin.

Sorry for the poor picture. I use a cheapo microscope but do plan on getting a better one soon. Can you girls and guys suggest some models you use that are reasonably priced? Like to know what you use and how the pictures turn out for you.

What's up with the #2? What kind of doubling is it or what happened to make it look like that?

the two has been hit or smashed. it looks doubled but it's not. take a new 07 shinny coin and hit a letter or number and you will see the same effect.
Gary too
