I pay cash inside. If there's a mugger they'll want cash, phone, cards, rings whatever.
You use all of your cash inside?

Cash is king, no fence required.

I use cash a lot for purchases, but if I don't have enough with me I'll use cards.

Haven't used any cash in almost 10 years except to tip hotel employees and restaurant waiters.

For those who don't use cash it would be wise to keep some hidden at home for emergencies. There's been enough internet crashes, hacks, bank failures, etc to warrant having cash if electronic transactions are unavailable.

Good point! I have done the same. Well, more accurately, my wife has.

She keeps cash on her just for this reason and I am always with her whenever the need arises, so it is her ongoing assigned task.

If that happens—Shields Up! Red Alert—I am sheltering in place, not shopping. The better advice is to already have emergency supplies at home. Bottled water, non-perishable food, power backup, self defence items, etc. It is storm season here, so this advice is common.

LIBERTY!

That is not an endorsement of the bill, but if we are going to do something boneheaded, no need to double-down on the stupidity with more mortal worship.

You guys might be underestimating how many use cash a bit, where I work I can end up with 2 or 3 hundred dollar bills with 2 or 3 50 dollar bills at the end of my shift

Those numbers still do not indicate a need for a $200 note.
