this coin is a awesome example of a error, I didn't put it in the error section because I wanted more people to see it... this coin is one of 3 known in existence and the only one slabbed.... its a lil out of my price range but I LOVE THIS COIN!!!

what do you think?

how do you come across coins like this in the real world? if I had a shop and someone walked in with something like this I could only drool and wish to purchase it or try to consign it for the owner.... ahh the luxury of error and misstruck coins...

Could be using ebay to advertise, and talk up the price a bit?

Certainly different.
Not anything I collect.
I'll save my money for other goodies that will fit my collection.

But did you notice there is FREE SHIPPING?
I'd buy that one but since I put all my coins in Albums, just no company makes Albums for those.

I've seen this one before, he must have no luck selling it. Unless its a different guy. But I'm pretty sure it was 600k last time too

I agree as he's not sold anything on ebay for 10 years.

It's not an area of interest for me but I can appreciate the rarity of the coin. If I had $600K to spend I'd be looking for a 1793 Chain Cent

Maybe not, as his own listing info says the coin is worth half a million dollars so maybe it's actually $100K to ship?

Sure they do: http://www.lighthouse.us/epages/lig...CLGRGMASETBL

Now shipping will set you back another $11, so I guess the whole deal is off?

Im sure theres a million other coins id buy if I had 600k.. I bet actual price at auction would only bring a 100k or so.. I dont think the rarity of the error commands such a premium... alot of ppl are looking for suckers, fortunately for me momma didnt raise no fool... and I like other cheaper coins that I could purchase sets of for a fraction of the cost... I saw 33 sets mostly complete sets for 19k from 1 cent to 1 dollar albums with a few key dates... I just saved myself 580k and got older coins...

Being graded.......... I guess there is no chance this is just a penny washed Gold?
I have a couple "No Cents", "V" 1883's that were gold washed. My best guess is so they might be mistaken for $5 gold pieces. Also have a IHC that was gold plated/washed. Must have worked or folks would not have done it!
I remember my great Granny hated the new SBA Dollars when they came out...... her bad eyes would mistake them for quarters when giving back change,(for eggs and butter that we made on the farm).

that deserves not one but three !

What I cannot understand is why he is selling something like that on ebay and not at an auction.

Seen it before.

If I had the cash, I would only pay like 100k for it.

No way I'd pay $600K for that. It is cool, but there are other coins I'd rather own.
