sel_69l Bedrock of the Community Australia 21788 Posts	Posted 10/11/2013 5:20 pm I mentioned that the leading edges of the wings and the eyebrow of the eagle were flat areas, most probably the result of a weak strike. However I did not see this extent of flat spotting in other areas, and that was behind my reasoning for the weak strike; only those two areas were so affected to this extent. It seems to me that PCGS saw those flat spot areas as wear, not a weak strike, and so their AU53. I can't help thinking that PCGS got this one slightly wrong. In one sense, their opinion is just like ours: it is just an opinion, and most of us here should be aware of the same grading standards we supposed to be recognizing.
