Check these out. The paper over the strip isn't attached.

That's interesting that the paper isn't attached, as all the other notes in the world using Motion have theirs quite secure on the strip. Perhaps keep that one?

All 4 that I have are like that. The bottom strip is lifting naturally on all the bills, but the top 2 strips take a slight bend of the bill to seperate. It seems like this is normal.

Gee, I wonder how long before someone finds a way to completely remove the blue "Motion" ribbon from the paper. That ought to trigger some major "counterfeit-phobia" among retailers and their cashiers.

There are still no new $100 bills in Germany. Until now, I saw bills for Richmond, Atlanta, Chicago, Minneapolis and San Francisco. Today I spoke with my bank, perhaps they can get the new $100 bill from the German central bank. I want him quickly.

Thanks for posting the info and reminding me to go to my bank and ask for some.
I'm not too far from Cary, NC, so I'll have to look them up.

Cool find on the star note. Hit or miss whether the value on that will go up or drop. I would imagine that it might be like the Washington Dollar Error coins. First few found go for quite a bit because someone wants to be the first to own one, but then the price settles out as people figure out how many end up getting released.
I found some regular Chicago district bills.
I can't believe how bad they messed up the watermark. Franklin looks more like Jabba the Hutt. Also, the self magnifying strip scrapes off pretty easily, I wonder how well that will hold up to the note getting folded too much, washed, etc...

Forgot to add, first holiday cash order period from the Fed Reserve begins 10/18. Ask your bank now to request new bills if you want to make sure you get some.
Good Luck

I have been to 5 banks dumping halves over the last 3 days and none of them had the new $100 bills when I asked.
At least the Obamacare website is working.
No?
I guess we are all out of luck this week.

They are beginning to circulate here in OKC. These are not mine, but they did pass through my hands briefly;

$100s on my budget? Not likely. I'll stick with $1s, $2s (my favorite) and $5s.
