Well I received it in the mail today and everything looked great with the naked eye and under the loupe. While taking pictures of it I noticed something in the photos around the "IBE" in liberty and around the date. Is this verdigris? The stuff around the "IBE" has a green tint but isn't raised at all. The stuff around the date just looks like a haze.

These photos aren't the greatest but my hands shake like a jackhammer going full tilt and took me forever to get these.

You can see it quite well in this photo.

The photos give the members a look at what you are questioning and looking at.
I do not see verdigris but the third frame is amazing.
Many will ask, for a picture of the reverse.

Thanks bpoc1. I have pictures of the whole coin here. They are the sellers photos that I cropped.

I only see the "stuff" on the obverse of the coin. If you look at "LIBERTY" I see it going around the top of the "I" and in the "B" and "E".
Then I also see it over the date. In the picture it looks like a dark spot over the date.

Here are a few photos of mine to wet your whistle. I will get some better ones in a bit. On a side note the rims dont look as beat up as they do in the sellers photos.

Nah. give it some time. With the new pic's I do see the verdigris. Give it a soak in pure acetone ( remember to follow safe instructions).
Nice cent! This a high AU coin at the least. IMHO
If BadThad could jump in and let you know a grade, that would be nice.

Looks to me like a good candidate for Verdi-Care. Offer Lincoln a drink of acetone first, just to be safe.

I have heard of verdi-care. Was going to ask BadThad directly as I have never used it before, but maybe you guys know. Will verdi-care do anything to the tone the coin has picked up?
I'm not 100% sure what I am going to do with it at this point. It wasn't cheap and unless the seller is willing to work with me on that it might be going back to him in a hurry. I was just waiting to see what you guys thought about the verdigris or whatever it may be.
Rest in Peace

Let me bow out on this one.
Because I'm not sure.
Let the other members offer their opinions.
Thanks LincoinGuy.

Thanks bpoc1 and SsuperDdave, I don't know why I didn't think about an acetone bath.
