The memoriae felix is not as nice as I would like. The desert patina is too chipped and uneven. The picture shows it waxed - it could stay like that indefinitely - but I reckon it might benefit from a complete clean because its got good depth of detail.

The best coin is probably the Vespasian - very nice, good depth, VICTORIA AVGVSTI reverse - If I remember correctly, that makes it part of the JVDEAE CAPTA series.

One Crispina/Faustina which is alright - I think it could clean up nicely, but it will take a long time.

The last is a Genio Populi coin which looks promising - it looks like a corroded lump of garbage but I've seen coins with these black deposits - often, a lower grade coin simply hasnt been cleaned long enough. The only method for cleaning this is olive oil - distilled water wont help.

And a seperate picture of a nice big barbarous coin - I think I have some smaller FEL TEMPs from the same tribe. The style with the fat neck (almost like a bust of Nero) is one seen on a couple of coins from the barbaric hoard.

I like the Constantius I London mint ! I still need one of these .... Deified Roman Emperor and father of a Saint !
A rare combination. When I rather infrequently go to Church with my wife (Albanian Orthodox) I like to sit towards the rear ..... better view of the two armoured spear carrying Saints looking down on me from the ceiling ...... Constantine and Theodosius.

My local church is pretty nice - no good paintings, but the stained glass is pretty nice and it has a nice Bell tower (I am not afforded a lie in on sundays).

Yes, the london mint is not a common on for Constantius. he only issued a couple of types from this mint. I'm going to clean it up, I've decided. If you want it, just send me an email (if you want it with a desert patina, send me one sharpish)
