Not sure where to post this because I'm asking like three different questions.

1. What is the grade?
2. What is the damage?
3. Since it's messed up do you grade it normal or different?

It's been in the ground, for a long time. Going based on the obverse, the technical "detail" is XF-ish, but it's obviously taking a serious hit in value from the "XF Details-Severely Corroded" designation which is how it ought to be described.

I'd be hard pressed to go above VF Details-Severely Corroded, given the lack of tail feather detail. By VF25 there is usually some separation between the tail feathers.

I think that would knock the value down to something like AG price. Not to dishearten you, but here's an ebay sale of one a little worse than yours: http://www.ebay.com/itm/1858-Flying...380719926204

I just wasn't sure how it ended up like this. Being in like VF condition is good.
I paid around 8 dollars so I'm still happy.

The one on ebay is worse then mine.

Thanks everyone!

Will post them here in about 20 or 30 minutes*
