A lady at work asked me to look at her deceased mother's coin collection. She said I could buy them if I like and she was sure they were worth a bundle. She also explained that no one in the family really knew her as a collector so she was pretty sure she just pulled these out of circulation.

I told her sure and explained my method.

Three piles. 1. Spenders (nothing more than pocket change), 2. intrinsic value stuff (junk silver) and 3. Collectibles.

There were 240 wheats in a plastic bag. I went through them and found the usual stuff. The noteworthy finds were:

1909 VDB in EF
1926 VF
1955D with nice little Cud
1912 EF+ (nice looking!)

So I did find a few nice ones, but the vast majority were nothing special. But I do really believe these were unsearched and pulled from circulation as she found them. So they are out there, just not on ebay.
