The "National Historic Mint" is no longer in business. It was one of numerous trading names used by Direct Marketing Enterprises Inc, which folded sometime in the early-to-mid-1990s, apparently under threat of litigation from hundreds of complainants. The complainants seem to be mostly complaining about non-delivery of ordered goods, though some may indeed have been complaining that their "coins" were not in fact coins, but medals. There was also some trouble about falsely claiming that some proceeds from their Statue of Liberty commemoratives would go to the statue's restoration fund.
