Hey Guys!

I am pondering the fact of getting another ebay account just for buying. Lookin for anyone's thoughts and or problems they might have had with doing this.

PROS
-Any bad feedback would not effect my precious sellers account
-No one will know what I buy low and sell high
-Looks more professional when I only sell items

CONS
-time consuming to switch between 2 different accounts
-double the work for have the feedback ratings
-I am new again dang it

Absolutely a great idea. We have both and I wouldn't change it for anything. Switching between the accounts is not a problem and you can always open two windows if you need to. I find it's nice to keep the purchases separate from the sales.

I would suggest opening up a personal Paypal account to go with it so that you can keep those transactions separate and not have to pay a fee if you occasionally accept money into it from people who fund their payments with their Paypal accounts and not credit cards. You can always move money out of your business account into it very easily.

I was under the impression that any money received was always given a fee. And if I transfered money from one account to another then I assumed that would be charged as well.

That is true with a business level Paypal account. You can have a second account that is a personal one and there are no fees attached. You cannot accept credit card payments to it and there is a limit to how much money you can accept into it ($500 per month), but you can transfer money right out of your business account into it with no fees at all. It's very convenient. I also use this account for our CC members who do not have US confirmed addresses but are paying with existing Paypal funds.
