I went through a $50 bag of pennies from my local bank's coin counter machine and I found a WHOLE BUNCH of good stuff. Canadian There were 69 Canadians. -3 BU 1961 -45 BU 1963 and 21 others LMC-71 BU 1973 D -80 1965, some with dark toned blotches, but all have sharp rims and little to no wear. -47 1968 S. I think in 68 all S mint coins were proof.. right? If they aren't proof coins, they are some of the best looking LMCs I have ever found. Funny though, some of the mint marks are weak. -2 possible clipped planchet 1965 coins. sorry for the fuzzy pictures.. I will get better ones. Wheat -A 1925 D Woody -A 1916 - A 1909 (no s, no VDB. BAH) -FORTY 1918S wheats, all worn out to the point where they are almost unreadable. They are about 30% thinner than non worn coins. -16 other common wheats IHCFIVE total. -four 1902 IHC, -1901, all beat to heck. (but hey, not complaining) How would such a strange mix of coins happen? it's almost like someone grabbed a few rolls at random from their (apparently rather extensive) collection and dumped them. There is no way that these would ever be in a bag like that by chance. Maybe a kid took some of Dad's coins?

Nice haul! Someone must have dumped their piggy-bank, or perhaps someone passed away and the heirs just dumped 'em.

I had this bag sitting on the floor for a week before I opened it, so I bet I missed LOADS of other goodies. I will be getting everything they have tomorrow.

all they had today was 3 bags of quarters, with nothing good.

You are very very lucky for such an assortment. That is a pretty good lot from someone's inheritance dump. I recently got about 1,065 pennies from 1959. They all look to be uncirculated just like your '65s. I bet someone had rolls of them that had never been opened and when they died, their grown children just grabbed them and took them all to the bank.
