If one could show on a map of the lower 48 states where coin roll hunters live--and what their 'search territory' is--I wonder what we would see? What areas of the country are more heavily searched than others? Would this indicate where search results may be thinning? What else would this tell us?

Interesting thought. You could always get the city/state/country info of people and manually mark it yourself.

Might not work, because different banks use different sources. I use three banks, one fed, one loomis, other is from customer wrapped.

Superhal -- Good point.

Hypothetical... If there are 40 dedicated, high-volume roll searchers in the San Francisco Bay Area, and 10 in the greater Dallas/Fort Worth Area, what would this say (if anything) about the likelihood of finding 'good' stuff...?

Depends on what you mean by high volume. Theres like what, a billion of a coin in a year. One box might reflect 20-70 years worth of coins. We're looking at a pool possibly in the trillions.

I'm from the Boston area, so basically Hanover, Abington, and Not well are what I consider my search territory. Comment if you're a penny roll hunter from Plymouth county ma.
