Wow! This Columbus Day weekend has been extremely lucky for me! I an envelope belonging to my dad in the basement that had some coins he collected and gave to me.:-) . It was several wheat pennies, including a 1928 and 1916 wheat! There was a 44 merc too! Then my brother found a 1954-D wheat and gave it to me. Then I went to my dump bank to use the coin machine, and a nice older gentlemen was telling me how he was going to buy a golf club with all the change he had. A bunch of coins went into the reject slot and he threw them out. Ding ding ding! Free steel penny, Canadians, a bus token, 1941 Indian coin, and British penny! Even a 1935 and 1937 wheatie too. Then I went CRHing and found a 1941 and 1942 King George VI penny! Then a Euro 1 and 2 cent!! Out of the wheats, 1925, 1928, 1937, forties fifties. An awesome haul!

Nice Work! I do the pennies and nickels, CRH. I have been finding a good # of pre-war nickels, including 3 buffaloes and perhaps 5 38-42 Jeffersons! Also 1 Silver War Nickel, :D My Copper Cent ratio is going down, but it was very high, running near 40% in some rolls. I think I am still close to 24-26% per roll (12 to 13 coppers) but I had a 4 roll set that averaged around 20% copper. Perhaps others are doing this, but I notice that the wheats are still popping up with similar frequency. CRH seems to be going very well, especially nickels, as I believe many folks are turning in old change because of the economy... I do not CRH dimes or quarters. Tried halves a few times, no dice. May try again!

Opened up the mail this afternoon when I got home from work...."Dad, I know you love these and I got this one at a coffee shop today in Missoula. Thought I'd try to make your day..." It was a 1951 D LWC. Hearing from her made it, the coin was a bonus. Love this hobby, especially when others know and are on the lookout for you.

My weekend was a bust, but I'm gearing up for a gold buy if it goes under 1200.
40 in jfk, 2 rolls of nickles, 10 rolls of pennies, nothing to show except for a few coppers.

Nice finds. Not sure what you mean by a 1941 Indian coin though

Great weekend! The only place I'm finding "Wheaties" now is down in the Tampa area. Haven't found one of them here at home in SE VA. Can' wait to get to FL again.
