picked up these 4 for 100 bucks at a coin show this weekend, not a bad hall. got my first hadrian, and only had 1 denarius before these guys. seller didn't have them attribued, so it was pretty fun figuring them out (if I made any mistakes, let me know by the way). julia maesa 218-222 ad rome mint ric 272 o:ivlia maesa avg r:saecvli felicitas, felicitas with caduceus sacrificing over altar. 20mm 2.6g hadrian 117-138 ad rome mint o:hadrianvs cos iii pp r:victoria avg, victory with palm branch 18mm 3.3g gordian iii 238-244 ad o:imp gordianvs pivs fel avg r:fortvna fedvx, fortuna with cornucopia and rudder. alexandria mint ric 210 22 mm 2.9g antoninus pius 155-156 ad rome mint o: ANTONINVS AVG PIVS P P TR P XVIII r: COS IIII, vesta holding patera & palladium, altar left 19mm 3.1g Edited by chrsmat71 10/15/2013 7:49 pm

Excellent coins Chris, I love Roman silver. I believe the Gordian III is an AR Antoninianus though.

Now, you have got me thinking the same thing as well! Perhaps I still have a thing or two learn about numismatics. BTW, a nice foursome for $100.
