It looks quiet clean so I dont think it needs to be polished thats for sure.

Looks like it may have been polished, but it's hard to tell from the lighting.

If not, it looks to be gEF by British standards.

Exceptional condition coin that was intended for circulation.
Nice even patination.
Nice strike, but I don't think this one is a proof.

Keeping it in an ex Royal Mint screw capsule intended for modern NCLT proof crowns would help it. That way, you can still get to handle it for close examination and appreciation.
