I am looking for info about submitting a raw SLQ to PCGS. I have a coin on the way that is being sold as FH. I will post pictures when it arrives and I'm sure many will be willing to tell me if it is or not. If it is FH I will be sending it to PCGS for my graded type set.

When I fill out the submission form, do I use the PCGS code for FH, do I use the standard code and they automatically see if it should be awarded the FH designation? I know with VAM's you must list that on the form or they ignore any found. Each year has two different PCGS codes. One is for regular and one for FH (price guide is the easiest place to see that).

I'm hoping one person out there has submitted a SLQ to PCGS. I don't need to know about NGC. I could call them but feel more comfortable finding out from someone who has gone through the process. Thanks.

They do the full head automatically like full bands and full bell lines ect.

The online submission center doesn't have a different full head option as far as I know, I couldnt find one just now checking it. When I sent mine I just used the normal one, it fell short but I wasnt really expecting it anyway.

They define full head though as:

Quote:

Full Head (FH) - Standing Liberty quarters.
Three leaves must be clear and distinct in Liberty's hair.
Earhole must be present.
Hairline must be distinct from top of forehead to back of neck.

If you have a full head code or want to mark it in the notes for online or on the paper form it cant hurt, but if it qualifies they should give it either way.
