I'm thinking F-12. What say you?

What a shame that it's been roughed up.

This is a scan - don't draw firm conclusions about the surfaces from it. I've the feeling you'd like it a lot better in photographs. F12 sounds about right, and the ding will detract a lot less from the value of this one than most other Morgans.

This one's VAM-5, with the dropped C in the mint mark, the most "common" 1889-CC.

I know it's a scan, I was looking at the dirt buildup between RI of PLURIBUS and between the 8's in the date.

Even if it hasn't, the rim ding would gennie it... but yeah, given this is a key, it doesn't hurt the value as much.

Fine-12 and I don't think the rim ding would hurt it at this low of a grade.

F-12. Any problems are exceedingly minor and will not have much if any impact on value

Gotcha. I'm ambivalent; could be a bad thing, could just be the coin got dirty and regular circulation rubbed everything else off. Given what it is, it's worth submitting even if it comes back Details.
